Why is my friend so awkward around me?
We met two years ago and I fell in love with him, but he didn’t like me enough to want a relationship with me, this obviously broke my heart and I’m still trying to get over that, it still hurts.
After all that, 1 year and a half has passed, and he’s kind of like my friend, we just rarely talk, we only talk when one of us feels lonely or depressed. So we basically see each other like once or twice a week at work but when there’s people around he never says "hi" to me or anything at all!! Unless it’s just the two of us and sometimes he’ll just stare and smile, which is awkward because I’m nervous every time he’s near me.
He also is there for me in really strange ways.
I just want to know why he’s so awkward around me, is it because I still feel the same way about him and he knows?
or he just feels bad for me because he rejected me?
I don’t know what to make of it.
Help, please!!

Put yourself in his shoes. If a girl whom you regard as a friend suddenly wants a romantic relationship with you, would u know how to react? Many guys instinct is to run away from the situation. He doesn’t want other people to misunderstand that there’s something going on between the both of u either. U can keep him as a friend, but look for romance elsewhere.
